GI Cancers Alliance Board of Directors Adds Three Business, Nonprofit Leaders

The GI Cancers Alliance is excited to welcome its newest board members: Andrew Krikorian, Jennifer Booth, and Sharon Kong-Perring. By joining the board, they will help carry the mission forward by providing strategic insights, governance, and connections to leaders and organizations impacting GI cancer patients and their families.

We look forward to their leadership in our important, influential work ahead.”

Andrew Krikorian

Krikorian is a healthcare leader and advocate with over a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in market access and patient care. Currently specializing in reimbursement and access within the gastroenterology therapeutic area at Johnson & Johnson, his career has been driven by a commitment to removing the barriers between life-changing medicine and the patients who rely on it.

With extensive experience in GI, oncology, and rare disease, Krikorian has served as a vital link between advocates, healthcare systems, and payers, ensuring the patient's voice is heard at every level of the access process. As a new member of the Board of Directors, he seeks to leverage this experience to advance the mission of advocacy and support for the GI cancer community.

Krikorian is a proud alumnus of the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. Outside of his professional life, he can most often be found on the golf course or enjoying the coast of Cape Cod with his golden retriever.

Jennifer Spinosa Booth

With 20+ years of experience leading digital strategy for Health and Life Science organizations, Jenn Spinosa Booth is an IBM Partner who leads the HLS practices for Enterprise AI and SaaS Business Applications. She specializes in accelerating digital innovation and operational excellence to solve complex industry-specific challenges at scale.

Booth leverages her AI expertise to support the GI Cancers Alliance mission—utilizing responsible, patient-centric AI to bridge the socio-technical gap. Her focus is on solving research fragmentation and using AI to empower patients and caregivers with accelerated access to resources and the ability to advocate for themselves.

Sharon Kong-Perring

Sharon Kong-Perring is a PhD Candidate in Media/Cultural Studies at Birmingham City University, studying the transcultural translation of international popular media. She has extensive nonprofit governance experience, serving as a board member for historical societies and museums. Currently, Kong-Perring works with nonprofit group Adventures in Preservation, which facilitates volunteers for historic conservation projects around the world.

By day, she is the curator at the Museum of Popular Culture creating exhibits that convey the power of storytelling to modern audiences. By night, she is a travel journalist, covering cultural destinations. Kong-Perring has worked with tourism boards, government agencies, hotel brands, and airlines in this capacity and has placed articles in outlets such as Yahoo!, TheTravel, and the Magazine Antiques.
